- First person: Ni (=I), Mu (=We)
- Second person: Kai (a masculine pronoun means 'you'), Ku (plural of 'kai'), Ke (a feminine pronoun means 'you')
- Third person: Shi (=he), Su (=they), Ita (=she)

Babu mai ƙoƙari anan sai kai kaɗai (masculine). = nobody is hardworking here except you alone
Ke baƙuwa ce? (feminine) = are you a stranger?
Ku baƙi ne (plural) = are you strangers?
Shi malami ne. = he's a teacher.
Ita baƙuwa ce. = she is a stranger.
Su baƙi ne. = they are strangers.
2. Possessive Pronouns
naka, nasa, nashi, tashi, taka.

Examples of possessive pronouns in Hausa
Nashi motar baƙa ce. = his car is black.
Ka kawo mashi nasa motar. = bring him his car.
Motar tashi sabuwa ce. = his car is new.
Taka motar sabuwa ce. = your car is new
Naki gidan babba ne. = your house is big.
Ka kawo mata nata abincin. = bring food for her.
Motar taki baƙa ce. = your car is black.
Motar tata baƙa ce. = her car is black.
Tawa motar babba ce. = my car is big.
Gidan nawa ƙarami ne. = my house is small.
Gidan namu babba ne. = our house is big.
Gidan naku babba ne. = your house is big.
Gidan nasu babba ne. = their house is big.
Motar tasu tsohuwa ce. = their car is old.
Motar taku tsohuwa ce. = your car is old.
Motar tamu sabuwa ce. = our car is new.
Possessive can also be formed by adding 'ɗi' + pronoun and by adding "r" or "n" + pronoun or just noun + plural
Babur ɗina. = my motorcycle.
Babur ɗinta. = her motorcycle.
Babur ɗinsa. = his motorcycle.
Babur ɗinka. = your motorcycle (masculine).
Babur ɗinki. = your motorcycle (feminine)
Shago na. = my shop
Shagonku (plural). = your shop
Shagonsu. = their shop
Motarmu. = our car.
3. r vs n
'r' is added at the end of the word to show feminine possession while 'n' is added at the end of the word to show masculine possession.
